Sewage Pumping Stations

You may need a pumping station if treated effluent or dirty water can’t flow using gravity only. For awkward situations, we also do specialised pumps!

Pump Station Options

Pump stations are useful in many situations where it is needed to move water, but gravity flow is not possible. We have many options available for pumping raw sewage, treated effluent or dirty water to or from septic tanks, sewage treatment plant, ditches, field drains and more.

Our pump stations are made with anything up to 5 metre inlet depths. If you need something very small, very shallow, or narrow, or the inlet at the top… we can do that for you! Whatever your unique specification requirements, Allerton can accommodate!

Do You Need a Pump Station?

Raw sewage is effluent that needs to go from the property to a sewage treatment plant (STP) or converted septic tank. Treated effluent comes from sewage treatment plants or septic tanks and is classified as dirty water. The type of dirty water pump station required for treated effluent will be able to grind up small materials which might enter the system such as bottle caps. Storm water is also classified as dirty water, but it requires a different type of pump station which can cope with large amounts of flood water.

Sometimes you need to pump raw sewage from a property (or multiple properties) to an STP or septic tank. Other times you may need to pump treated effluent or dirty water to a soakaway (aka drainage field) or a ditch according to the binding rules.

Contact our office to discuss your particular situation. Our staff are here to help you every step of the way.

All pump stations need to be serviced at least annually to mitigate any problems.
